I'm a SAHM right now. My youngest is 1.
Im thinking about what i want to happen when my children are in school :)

Im really interested in being a teaching assistant in a Primary school. I have no experience with children (apart from my own obviously but i don't think that counts!)

Would volentering at a mums and toddlers help? Or in a pre school? Any help would be appriciated :)

Getting as much experience as possible is important. Whilst parent and toddler groups will give you some, you will probably find you need some experience with school age classes too. Could you ask at your local schools if they have any volunteer opportunities?

TA jobs are often in high demand and will require you to have experience and ideally related qualifications too.

What are your reasons for wanting to work as a TA?

Thank you for your reply! :)

It's allways been that niggling thought in the back of my head. I was a Hairdresser before I had Children but i just don't feel thats 'me' anymore.
When my DD1 started school she went from this 'baby' type person into this little girl, she was learning all these things and she was so proud of herself. Her teacher and TA are fantastic, lovely people and my DD has really blossomed because of them.

I'd like to make that difference too! I've had a look into the job description and i'd love it.

But the no experience with children is where i'm abit stuck.

TAs jobs in schools are highly coveted and much sought after by staff with lots of experience in working in private nurseries around here.
You'd need to be qualified and experienced to stand a chance of interview.
