A friend has asked me to post on their behalf.

"I'm heavily pregnant with a high risk pregnancy, due to finish next week. The woman who sits right next to me has an awful cold but will not stay home. I don't want to risk becoming ill but I can't go home. Neither of us can move desks.

What can I do?"

Cold viruses won't hurt her baby at this stage in pregnancy. She'll just feel rubbish if she catches a cold. Hand washing is absolutely key - your friend may want to take wipes/hand gel and clean surfaces that they both come into contact with?
If the person really shouldn't be at work then your friend could raise it with HR/a manager?
