I make a lot of lovely pottery. I would like to sell it. Does anyone have experience of using Etsy, or Not on the High Street, or has anyone made their own website?

I'd love to know what others' experience is like...

I don't have much experience of Etsy but I have bought a few things from it once or twice. But really the competition is huge. I think I might try approaching these independent gift shops if there are any in your area. Or even a craft fair. But Etsy is worth a try. Good luck.

Hi time4tea

There is a lot of competition on etsy, but there are ways to get yourself noticed.

I am a copywriter. I am experiened in writing product descriptions, web copy and blog posts. I am currently looking into developing a service for etsy sellers to help them write effective product titles and descriptions that are optimised for the site's search function.

I could use a volunteer to work with, so if you do go down that route and need any help drop an email - I've PMd you.
