Does it get better? Or am I to prepare myself for this all the time?

It's like a limb has been ripped of. I get sinking feelings almost every hour and I'm phoning nursery twice a day to find out if dd is ok.

How long have you been back at work? How old is your DD? I felt like you at first - I'd get off the bus and sprint to get home to her as quickly as possible! I was back at work for 18months before going on maternity leave with DC2 and while I still had the odd day feeling that way on the whole it got easier and more normal.

Oh dear op

I never had this wrench as such but all I can say is see how you feel in a week or two? Then review your setup.

I worry I'll be like this too as applying to jobs but keep panicking. I'm torn as we manage as we are but as DS is starting nursery 9-3 I would like to work, I just wish could be back for 3 every day!
I feel for you and think it will get better. Are you happy with the nursery? I never worry about DS when he's somewhere he loves being eg with my mum, but finding it so tough being apart at the moment as he hasn't settled in yet.
I hope you're ok!

It's only 3 days a week and only started last week. Dd does not like nursery at all. I'm out from 8-5.30 and I could just eat them when I get home. Ds not so much of a worry as he's older, at school and settled with friends.
