If a job ad requires you to send a supporting statement demonstrating that you meet the person spec how would you structure it?

Would you go through each one, one by one as if it is a more conventional application form, or would you write prose sort of arguing your case but making sure that you covered all the attributes they want?

I have done a draft of the former but am wondering about the latter, making sure I incorporate all their buzz words

Also, how long should it be? Two sides? Or longer

I have to send a cv too

Thanks, that's helpful. I think they will have a lot of applications but my experience is more or less a direct match so I would be disappointed it I didn't get an interview

Usually I do approach 1 but for my current job there were a ridiculous amount of things in the person spec so I did option 2. It ended up being about 3 pages long.
