hi

started a permanent part time job 5 months ago. have set hours and fill out timesheet each week and get payslips. according to my handbook i get mat leave regardless of how long ive been there. only prob is eventhough i should have got a contract at 3 months i still havent. keep asking them but they still have to change a part of it. so against medical advice i have not told them im pg. have very physical job involving lifting n bending - told tgem have medical condition as had to go hospital appointments etc...

Speak to ACAS about your contract as they will be able advise you regarding your maternity rights.

I would tell them about your pregnancy so you can request none lifting tasks. You want to avoid complications which can happen if you lift heavy items during pregnancy.
