Hi
Im really confused as to what my pay is regarding holiday pay. I return to work after maternity in october so does this mean i could have a a lump sum of holiday pay along with my wage at the end of october. I usually have 28 days hol including bank hols. I will be taking bank hol days of in dec. just wanted to know the facts. From what i can gather i am entitled to around 24-25 days holiday pay??? Is this correct? X

You need to talk to HR, but yes, you are entitled to pay or time off for holidays accrued while on Maternity.
Don't forget that you will want some holiday to take for the rest of the holiday year (and to cover child illness if they are at Nursery!)
So, did you use all your holiday from the previous holiday year? If not, that may be able to be added in.
I actually "took" the holiday - so return date was 1 Oct, but I had 20 days holiday, so I actually went back early November, but received a pay check in Oct.

Check with hr. I was very ill in my pregnancy and was left with loads of leave to carry over. They would not pay it so I put it on the end of my mat leave.
