Won't give me a copy of the contract?

If you've been employed somewhere for 10 years and no longer have a copy of the contract, can your employer decline to give you a copy?

There should be a copy on your file and you are entitled to see that if you make what's called a "subject access request" under the Data Protection Act.

What reason are they giving for not letting you see it?
