I am going to need as hoc, flexible help with my business over the next year as I am pregnant. I need to find at least one, maybe two people who can work from home part time to help me manage some projects. It's a pr marketing thing in the professional services sector. What are good websites to advertise on? I have done a few searches and am overwhelmed.

I'm in the process of starting up as a virtual assistant working from home offering admin and other services on an ad hoc basis so I have been looking into where to find clients, so sort of similar in a way.

There are various websites such as elance, , odesk and people per hour where you can advertise but I'm not sure how successful this is. It sounds from what you said in your post that a virtual assistant who is flexible would be ideal in helping your business at this busy time for you.

I use peopleperhour.com to find freelancers. I have found lots of good people. Be specific about what you need and I never offer a budget and see what comes in. The freelancer pays the commission to PPH.

You could always try local networking groups too if having someone you can meet up with is important.

If you want to ensure they stay with you, maybe consider an employee?

Freelancers are good (I am one!) but having done it for nearly 4 years I have seen a lot of people dip in and out of freelancing..

Congrats on the pregnancy and good luck.
