Pressure in the work place

I have just started a new job. It is a charity and very low paid for what it is. (The manager said that it should be at least 9000 per year more than what it is!)

The team that I am working in have lost a few people so instead of being a team of say 6 it is a team of 3. That of course means in a job with LOADS of work has now become more busy.

I am the new person, the other two people barely speak to me unless its to ask me to do more work.

Every day more and more work is being piled on me and I have began to get migraines, feel low and dread going in.

Friday one of them told me that the workload would have to be shared out more as they are overwhelmed. I was shocked (although I can see their point).

I believe the management know the pressures as they obviously know staff have left, the team is smaller, the pay is low etc etc.

What would you do?

You can only do what you can do in your allotted hours...do not be pressured into working at an uncomfortable pace or work unacceptable overtime. The pressure of workload is with management...let them take the strain...it is their job to manage.

Enjoy life. Rise with a smile, rejoice in the day and dance in the moonlight...to your own beat.
