Any CV writing services out there?

I am going back to work after being SAHM for six years.
Thought of writing CV is daunting. I've had several career changes during my working life - so need my CV to be tightened up/streamlined a bit, iyswim.
I probably won't be returning to my old career (in television - young person's game/not flexible enough).
I know there are websites with templates but just don't seem to be able to put CV together that is both current and relevant.
There must be people/companies who specialize in CV writing out there!

There are certainly CV services available, but as each job/ career area ideally needs a different one, you could be forking out a lot of money. Do you know what career area that you are aiming for?

The perfect CV is short, and perfectly describes your experiences as being perfect for the job that you're aiming for. If you look at your experiences/ skills & abilities in terms of the person specification, what can you offer that matches? Make the recruiter's job easy!

Hi. If you won't be returning to a similar field concentrate on transferable skills: teamwork, analytical reasoning, leadership, communications, adaptability, client focus?
Think about writing about a role not in terms of what it was (describing in detail what your responsibilities were) but rather these 3 things:

1. What did you do
2. What was the outcome
3. What was the value

And try to keep it relevant to the job you are applying for. Hope that helps a bit.

So each CV should be different according to the job? I like the transferable skills idea. I get very lost when talking about myself and achievements. That's why I figured a third party might help me!

Is there any link to those kind of buzz words? I have them all (I think!?) but would never think about using them (apart from usual teamwork, communications etc) in a CV.
