Network marketing and direct sales

Hi, I'm looking to network with people who work or have worked in this industry. I am starting with a beauty company coming to the uk in the autumn but as I am new to this, I hoped to speak to people with experience whom I could share ideas with.

Hi it's a mineral make up brand called younique. Their flagship product is 3d fibre mascara which I love. My US sponsor sent me some several months ago and now I won't use anything else the effect is amazing. I will be selling through social media so I don't have to give out catalogues or orders as the customer gets their order direct which is a bonus as I work full time.
I wondered how other people in the industry go about starting to build up their business and friend network. Any advice appreciated.

Hiya, saw your message and the company I work for run a course to help people run their business online.

I am doing this social media course, and have learnt loads which has really helped with my income. You don’t have to be a distributor in my company to do the course and it doesn't cost the earth to do (less than £100). Mine has built up through word of mouth, attending events in the local community and the use of social media to have a "presence".

I think it's all about finding out who your customer is and then targetting where they will be.

Also helps to love your product as then you can't help talking about it lol
