I have been asked to give an adult friend French conversation practice (I have a degree in French and Spanish). I'm not sure what to charge - anyone any ideas? It won't be leading to an exam or anything. I live in Staffordshire.Thankyou!

In my area you'd pay £25-£30 irrespective of any exam.

Wow, thanks for that! What county are you in? I was thinking about £15-£18 per hour.

SE Home Counties. Have a friend who teaches Italian and she's charged the same rates as parents pay for tutoring.
However if it's just conversation with no grammar and no use of text books then maybe slightly less but wouldn't go below £20.

I would agree, no less than £20/hour.

I pay £20 an hour, not gearing towards exams.
