Will I get maternity allowance? Help please!

I'm planning to have a second baby ASAP
I'm on a temporary fixed term contract (with the view to extend on a rolling basis, but no significant chance of permanent contract as the organisation isn't able to take on permanent staff for the foreseeable future).

I've tried the direct gov website but can't get a solid answer as to whether I'll get SMP or maternity allowance or nothing at all.

Please please please point me in the right direction for an answer
