What are the realities of going bk to work after 4 months

I have to return to work and my baby will be just 4 months. I'm telling myself it will be ok because it's kind of what I have to do but what are the realities of this. LO is bottle fed and sleeps 10-6am/11pm-7am...

Are you going back full time?

Where is baby going while you work?

I went back after 12m but there's a five month old at my DD's childminder and from what I have seen she's happy and contented. In many ways it might be easier on the child than if it were later on as I know it took my child a few months to settle down in daycare.

With the five month old, the older children seem to dote on her and they have a really lovely little group.

I think you need to feel secure in your childcare but otherwise, you should both be fine.

Was many years ago but I went back when both mine were 4 months, to be honest they were fine, they settled really well, they were to young to really miss me i think.

I started back a day a week when my twins were four months, before FT at five months. They were bottle fed at this stage. I can honestly say we didn't have any problems with them settling, were very happy with the nursery. A little illness at first but I think that's true of any age starting in childcare.

The key thing is that you've said it's what you've had to do. IMO it's futile worrying about what ifs, focus on the positives of any decision you've had to make rather than negatives.

Mine are seven now, I don't have any regrets.

Yep going back full and hoping to put LO in nearby nursery...

I went back when ds was 6 months. He settled into nursery quickly, the only issue I had was he found it hard to nap during the day at nursery and it messed up his nighttime sleeping.
