have not earned this year and may temp for 3 months - will I be taxed?

I have been off with my son full time and am thinking about temping for 3 months pt befire my second is due. Would I be taxed traight away if I have not earnt anything this year and then have to claim it back ? thank you in advance

Doesn't it depend on how much you earn? I don't pay tax on my wages, I work 16hrs a week.
