Sick note

I work 5 days per week.
I've been off since last Wednesday BUT had an hour off on Tuesday.
When do I need a sick note from the doctor? (Been to see the doctor several times)

AFAIK it is seven straight days off - so go back to work Tuesday and shouldn't be required.

I thought I wouldn't need one til Wednesday (luckily have an appointment tomorrow anyway!)
