So we've just walked in the door. Letter waiting for DH which was his redundancy notice. WTF?

He has two and a bit weeks left of work. Shit. Bugger.

is it shuch short notice because of the length of his service?

antimatter · 04/08/2014 15:14

shuch=such

Changebagsandgladrags · 04/08/2014 15:20

Well they posted it while we were away, so it was a month from them writing it.

that was sneaky....
I have no idea if that's according to law to send letter and not to have face to face meeting.

you need to research that

Were they happy for him to have a month's annual leave?

Changebagsandgladrags · 04/08/2014 15:30

He has been on holiday for two weeks. Letter was dated two weeks ago. So there's another two weeks to his leaving date now.

AFAIK they cant just issue a notice of redundancy, even if there is no way out of it such as a closure etc , they have to undergo a consultation process first.
