Hello ladies, I am looking to return to work after 5 years of being a SAHM. Do you know of any online course I can do to refresh my MS office skills? Specifically PowerPoint and excel. I'm sure it will all come back to me but I want to feel confident with what is written on my CV! Thanks

Friend of mine did the ECDL through the job centre when she was unemployed. She found it useful, especially as it gives accreditation. nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/advice/courses/typesoflearning/Pages/computerskills.aspx

I did the ECDL and then joined a temping agency. Local libraries, job centres, adult education centres, and colleges often do it. I went through a local college and went in when ever I could to go through the books and do the tests.

It is a recognised qualification , my son will be doing his at school in year 9.

I used to be in a technical career but had 8 years out and wanted proof that I could use MS packages. It also gave me another reference source to put on applications.
