Teaching assistant qualification

I would like to work as a teaching assistant in a primary school.
Can anyone suggest a suitable course to start with as I've no experience.

Have you volunteered in a school before?

You could do the Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce either level 2 or 3 depending on your experience and so on. Have a look on the cache website. There is also a specific teaching assistant course but they both allow you to work in schools.

Look on local college course websites, don't be tempted by those home learning schemes, they wont get you a job in a school.
