Phoned to only enquire about an advert but after 15min chat got offered an initial interview tomorrow. I never done any nursing or care work. I have been out of paid employment for over 8 yrs since the birth to my second dc. Prior to being SAHM I always worked in offices. So can you ladies advise please. Smile

Don't worry, alittletreat, you've already got the caring side down pat from being SAHM.
In terms of job info, you'll find most things you need here: nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/advice/planning/jobprofiles/Pages/careassistant.aspx

Wear: smart - something to show that you've made an effort, but a suit would probably be over the top!

Ask: actual duties; supervision & support whilst you learn the role, and time given to travel between appointments if you're working in the community (sometimes there's no gap, meaning that the care appointments are much shorter & sometimes inadequate).

Good luck Smile
