Sorry about the caps but I need some help quckly. I need to complete my ODP within the next hour and my line manager has left some very negative comments which I need to address.

The comments are valid but my work sufferred this year as I had depression and was signed off by my GP for 3 months the depression was caused by some very difficult life events and a difficult boss though not necessarily my work, this is a one off for me and I am back to normal now.

Should I note on my ODP that my work suffered due to the depression as it has not been mentioned, could the depression be held against me if there are redundancies?

Please help, I am also going to post this on the mental illness boards for responses there as I just don't know how to handle this.

Thanks

Sorry you have been suffering with depression.

What is an ODP?

Sorry I was in a rush earlier, I meant OPD (objective personal development). I filled my sections in but then my line manager added quite a few negative comments re my work most of which I think are unfair as I was very ill with depression at the time.

This may be too late - but I would.

My manager should now be used to getting detailed feedback about my performance reviews, as it's an on-going issue. I'll be due a mid-year review soon - looking forward to it. Grin

I do make sure it's in my review comments, though, because that's an official doc which goes on my HR records, so just discussing it isn't enough when his comments are written there.
