I know this is silly... My daughter has been for a interview and was told that she would have a call today if successful.. ( Summer work in a cafe) We need to be out most of day as my daughter has a hospital appointment 2 hours away. They already said they could only call landlines
Would it sound desperate to call them this morning and ask? Or let it go to answer phone? Or would it come across that shes not bothered if there's nobody here to answer?

If it goes to answerphone they will leave a message.

You dont me you call and ask surely?

They said if successful she will get a call by the end of the day. If unsuccessful she will hear nothing.

Can you dial in to your answerphone to collect messages?

HermioneWeasley · 23/06/2014 08:14

Can't hurt to call this morning before you go out and ask if they've had a chance to make their decision yet.

FWIW I think it's very rude to say you won't hear anything if unsuccessful

Can't divert calls or at least I don't think so, I doubt I would get a phone signal there.
It is a big deal to dd to get this job and don't want to do anything that might put them off hiring her as in pushy or not bothered.
