What will my redundancy package be?

Hello

I have been working part for my company since 2010 and I have been given an ultimatum today to either go full time or to be made redundant.

I am currently working part time. What kind of redundancy package might I get? I have asked HR by the way, am just impatient for a response.

Thanks

Depends on the company, but probably next to nothing tbh. Statutory redundancy isn't worth much, especially if you've only been there for a short time.

Thank you, so not even a week's pay per year plus holiday?

I think you would get a week's pay per year, yes, but can't remember the exact rules - it depends on your age, too (more for people over 41, if I recall rightly).

They would have to pay you for any holiday that you'd accrued and hadn't been able to take, but don't think that would be part of your redundancy package.

You can probably google the statutory package.

There's a tool here - www.gov.uk/calculate-your-redundancy-pay

The maximum "per week" amount is capped too.

Are they allowed to do that? From govt website:

You can’t be selected for the following reasons - your redundancy would be classed as an unfair dismissal:

gender
marital status
sexual orientation
race
disability
religion or belief
age
your membership or non-membership of a trade union
health and safety activities
working pattern (eg part-time or fixed-term employees)
maternity leave, birth or pregnancy
