Does anyone know how to delete a skype conversation?

I'm self-employed and work from home but communicate regularly with a work contact via skype. A lot of the stuff I do is confidential and me and work contact discuss this in a fair amount of detail (I get the work from her - she has signed all the relevant confidentiality contracts). I have only just realised that skype seems to be storing my conversations which has freaked me out a bit as I was under the impression that they weren't stored. I can't seem to find out online how I delete these conversations without deleting the account. Work colleague doesn't seem to know (or be that bothered) but I think it's important. Does anyone know how to do this?

I can't remember exactly but I think you do it when you are actually speaking to them via the conversation. Sorry I can't be a little more specific I know it can be done I've done it just can't remember exactly but I have done it whilst talking to a friend.

Thanks for your answer CarCikoTab. Unfortunately I'm partly asking because my work contact is on holiday and will be uncontactable for the next two weeks. I'm also going away for a wee as from tomorrow (I'll be working for some of this time so need my PC with me) and am worried about taking my computer on the train and it being in the hotel. If I left it accidentally on the train or something I'd be in massive trouble. I can't really believe how hard it is to find this out. I've spent hours on internet forums and on skype itself and just get absolutely nowhere at all.

I think you go to privacy then there is a section there to delete your conversation. There is also a drop down tab where you can choose to keep your conversation "never" "one week" "4weeks" etc

You can delete Skype history via going to Tools > Options then 'Privacy' on the left hand side. On right, you will see 'keep history for' and a drop down and 'Clear history' button to clear your history.
