Returning to work guilt.....

I go back to work full time in Monday and I am strangely excited, I am a chef and love my work, but I feel really guilty about DS 10 months old! Does anyone have a coping strategy? He is going to a childminder that he loves and I'm really happy with she is so calm and loving and he will get all the attention he needs (high needs baby) and he will stay with my mum once a week which he will also love! So I'm confident that he will be happy, safe and loved while I'm at work but the guilt is following me like a big dark cloud!! :( cried myself to sleep for 3 nights running :(

Give yourself a mental slap round the face, and stop with the guilt! There is absolutely no reason for it. You've said yourself you have good quality childcare sorted. It sounds like your DS will have a great time while you are at work. I know it is not really that easy It will get easier though.

how did you get on? i currently work part time (4 days a week) in a job i hate and have just applied for a couple of fantastic full time jobs that I would love.

I havent even got the jobs yet and im feeling guilty for potentially leaving my son for that 5th day.

He would be with family so i know he will be fine but i love that day off.

Not just to spend time with him but i bloody love not working the friday.

But then if i worked fill time we would have sooo much more money, which we dont have now!!!
