I came back to work in April where my place of employment was Wimbledon (approx 15min drive from my house) which is a site office from our main area office at Waterloo. Anyway our contractor lost the contract and we have now been moved back to Waterloo on a permenant basis. I work for the railway and am entitled to a 40% discount on my season ticket, basically the company lends me the travel money and I pay back 60% monthly for 10months. This would be ok except I have returned part time and am only in the office 2 days per week, I have requested the loan so I don't have to pay the silly amount for travelling to Waterloo (£30 per week for 2 days!!!) but have been refused because I cannot give them proof of purchase 6monthly I can only do it 3 monthly (the train company will not issue the ticket I need any further in advance).
I feel quite discriminated against because if I was full time and moved into London I would be a lot better of pro-rata than being part time. Does anyone think I can take this further as it just seems really wrong to me.
