Keep in touch days on mat leave

Currently on maternity leave with PFB and due to do back to work at the start of August. I'm going into work tomorrow to discuss my return with the bosses and was thinking I would go in one day a week during July to get back into it. This was discussed before I went off and it was agreed that some of the keep in touch days they can ask me to come in would be used for this.

If I've understood this right I get my normal pay for the days I work while on leave. Therefore I assume I wouldn't be entitled to those days back, correct?

Just want to make sure I've got things right before my meeting tomorrow. It's a small company with no hr dept and I'm the first person that's ever needed maternity leave and while my noses have been supportive they will screw me over given half the chance!

Bosses. Not noses. (Autocorrect!)

I don't understand what you mean about being entitled to the days back - do you mean getting time off in lieu afterwards?
Any work that you do on any day during your maternity leave has to count as 1 of your KIT days, even if you only do 5 minutes. You don't automatically get paid your normal day rate for KIT days, this has to be agreed with your company, and they could just top your SMP up rather than paying it on top.
