Just been given 2 months notice.

Have worked here for 5 and a half years.

Contract terminated due to ill health and lots of time off.

Shit.

Sorry to hear that.

Have they followed an appropriate procedure? Do you feel it is a reasonable decision in the circumstances? Sorry, difficult to advise without more.

I assume they have, and I suppose I can understand why.

But I do t know what to do now.

Well, if you think their decision was fair and reasonable and a fair procedure was used, and you don't intend to challenge the decision, what you do now is start looking for another job, if you are fit to work.

If you are not fit to work, what is underway medically to get you fit at the moment, is your GP being helpful, are your medical issues on their way to being resolved?

The only thing I have been able to find out from a bit of googling is that my migraines should have been treated as a disability which they weren't. My time off with migraines should have been separate from other time off, it wasn't. They should have asked for statements from my dr, they didn't. A work place assessment should have been carried out, it wasn't.

I also suffer with depression and anxiety, and mild agoraphobia.

I have been looking for work this afternoon but to be honest, I don't know if i can work, or if I will end up in the same situation with time off sick etc.

I'm on a preventative medication for migraines which has helped a little. I have seen a neurologist and had a brain MRI which was clear. I am going back to see the neurologist an a couple of months.

I also have issues with my back which are mode worse by sitting at a desk for hours. I have had time off with my back as well and am awaiting physio.
