Hi all,

Hope all you lovely Mum's out there are well?

I am appreciate that this is a good problem to have & how lucky I am to have these opportunities and I hoping I can benefit from your experience?

I am currently in a period of transition at work (on consultation as they are making my position redundant) I and am looking at new opportunities, some of these are international and I am keen to peruse but need as much info as I can get on things like, cost of living vs. salary, childcare (18MO daughter to consider), potential work opportunities/visa possibilities for hubby, schooling/medical, things to do, cultural considerations etc.

Most importantly, the effect (if any of you have already done this) that this has had on your children & partners.

Currently UK based the countries/states I could possibly consider are:

Singapore
Dubai
Kuala Lumpur
Texas/Louisiana
Sydney

Any advice would be warmly appreciated.

Go for it. You don't want to be 83 and looking back on life saying......."if only".

In terms of destinations: family friendly with good green fields in the area, relaxed approach to life: Sydney then Texas.
The others: Singapore - ok, very safe, good facilities but very overcrowded. Dubai - city in the middle of a desert. KL - if Sydney or Texas weren't an option, I'd probably go for it.
