I have worked in a shop for 18 months. I have never received a contract or wage slip or any other documents in this time.
Never had a problem, work on average 20 hours per week, get paid cash on a Friday.
I have now been offered a better job closer to home.
How much notice do I have to give present job ? if any ?

I'd be concerned that you're not officially "on the books" - is the employer paying your National Insurance? Do you get min wage?

I get minimum wage, but I'm not sure if I earn enough to pay national insurance or tax.
I'm not very clued up on all this. feel a bit silly now how stupid I may have been.
