Help? How can I get back to work?

Single mum now, really need to get back to work, have a ten and four year old -

I have a good past work history, been a project manager for council, pa for oncologist consultants, pa for publishing companies - but out of work for over 3 years bringing up kids - and feel totally out of the loop -

help?

Have you applied for anything?

How is the jobs market in your local area?

Are you looking for pt hours to fit around kids?

If you have admin experience maybe you could start as a self employed pa doing odd jobs. Then once you have up to date references you could get an employee post?

Or you can try voluntary work? Orgs often don't advertise for adm

Admin roles but if you ask directly they may take you on temporarily which would make you not attractive to future employers.

Get your CV to an agency, try time wise jobs if you are in London or someone like manpower. Most bigger companies will use an agency, and they are more likely to have family friendly policies etc.
