I am so excited! It is a post at my university library, and iut would be ideal as it is literally round the corner from dds nursery. I am in a good position, as I have already been offered a job if this one doesn't go to plan. Does anyone have any experience of ths kind of job? And can you think of any questions they might ask me? I have done lots and lots of research for this interview, but would be interested to hear what you all think.
Thanks

You lucky thing! I'd love to work in a library.
Good luck for tomorrow.

good luck. i would love to be a librarian too. my only tip is that listen to yourself talk. if you are sounding nervous - in my case, starting to speak fast and tempted to overexplain ie ramble on, slow down and keep your answers short without being curt.

is this a graduate trainee post? are you looking to go on to doing to qualification ?

I did my trainee year at a posh girl's school, so a bit different, and i really can't remember what kind of questions they asked. As it is for a trainee post it won't be too technical, ie your familiarity with the different classification systems or anything to do with cataloguing or serials control or anything. I have a vague memory of a few of my POST qualification interviews flummoxing me slighly lol.

just relax, show them how good you'll be and how much you can give to the job?

I have a vague recollection that Marina is a practising librarian, unlike me who only does one evening a week since having my dd so she may be more use? bump for her?

hi I'm a librarian in a University so CAT me if you want any info. going out now so can't give you any more. Just DON'T tell them you love books!

lol eeek.

lol! Yes, it is a graduate trainee post, but it is only available because someone has dropped out. I don't know how competitive this post would be at this stage? It is to start at the beginning of september, so I am worried that perhaps lots of people would have applied who were rejected elsewhere.
