I think I may have made a huge mistake...I had a job paying 27500 and part time my pay was 24150 net. I applied for and got a new job, which, top of the scale, is also 27500. However I started at the bottom of the scale which is 25200 and I now work full time, so work a lot more for a tiny bit more pay. Should I have negotiated to start higher up the scale? I didn't think I could at the time, because I was basing it on take home pay, not full time equivalent pay. Advice welcome, before I decide whether its worth approaching HR!
