Flexible working

Anyone in the know about flexible working? I have been on a flexible working pattern for some years now, my most recent hours were agreed in October last year. My employer today handed me a new rota they say I have to change to, which includes more evening hours, spreading my hours over 4 days instead of 3, and including hours on days I don't currently work. Does anyone know how I can go about fighting this?

I got good advice from Working families when I was in the same boat.

It was a while ago but if IRRC the gist of it was that whilst they can force a change on you for business reasons, if you are unable to do the hours because of caring commitments that can be judged to be discrimination. Anyway I didn't have to change my hours after following their advice.

If your contract specifically states your days and hours of work, and there is no clause within your contract that allows them to vary it, then they can't unilaterally change it without your agreement! That would be a breach of contract entitling you to resign and claim constructive dismissal. I would check your contract first, and then follow the grievance process.
