Part time job while on maternity leave???

Ive been offered a part time job which is paid only on comission but im unsure if i can take it as im on maternity leave from my main job.
Would this mean that my child benefit would stop or can you not have a 2nd ob while on maternity leave from another job?
Any advice appreciated

CB would be unaffected (not means tested) but things like tax credits might be. Check your contract as you may well be precluded from any extra work or have to ask permission and don't think you can while being paid SMP.
