I need the front and the back end bits with shopping facilities and have absolutely no idea where to start. I would love to go on a recommendation.

Also - any tips when setting up your own website?

Try Yzzy, she's pretty decent with good rates and does hosting as well

My BIL used green eye design and said he was very happy. The host as well I believe.

I used weebly.com Really simple to use and some nice templates. A year on and no problems

Thank you everyone - I'll have a browse through - I assume they can all do the shopping facilities bit? I also need some illustrations done, ideally by a child. Where does one start??

I am also having trouble visualising what 1,2,3 column websites look like - can you help?? Can you have more than one image next to each other but within one column??

Would this count as a 2 column website: here

Sunny's websites may be affordable but I hope to god he's employing copywriters too... Hmm

Hi, I would just say be careful with website builders - I recently had a bad experience from Godaddy. They offered the world but sadly never delivered. Its a free tool, but it it very limited. If you are after high google searches then you will need to read into the massive arena of SEO. Hope this helps

Sorry for disturbing this old thread, but I decided to share my experience in the hope it will be useful for someone. If you are looking for a good website builder, I recommend to find the reviews of them on the Internet first. Personally I read one on www.beautifullife.info/web-design/15-best-free-website-builders/ and it really helped me as it gave me a possibility to compare the most popular web builders on one page. Personally I chose Wix and haven't regretted my choice.
