SMP from 2 jobs - can anyone help?

I'm due to go on maternity leave later this year. I have two employers, and I qualify for SMP from both. Can I apply to both employers?

Everything I've read seems to say yes, but it seems bizarre that I then effectively get a double payment.

Yes, you can, if you work enough hours and qualify for both .

Is that for the whole 39 weeks?!

I'm interested in this as currently trying to conceive and now have two jobs which I'd qualify for. What I can't work out is whether I'd lose all smp if I went back to one job and not the other. I work at home for one job though employed.

I think you're entitled to take a different amount of leave for each job, although don't quote me on that!

If that's the case that would be bloody brilliant. I could actually take a full year off! Yippee!
