I am on Mat leave and return to my job as full time medical device rep for J&J next year, but do not want to work full time, but cant really do current role part time. Want another Job selling Medical devices part time, but am unsure about which companies do it, and how much they get paid.
I do not want to do Pharmaceuticals though! Any one out there got any advice?

Just a thought.... I am in medicals (also not pharmaceuticals, tried that and HATED it) Also full tiem and wishing to go part time, but not getting a very positive response from my manager at the moment. Where abouts are you? (I'm Derbys / Staffs border). Any chance of job share do you think? Is it something your employers would go for? (Haven't raised it with mine yet )

Hi, no chance of job share, unless you fancy travelling to North East!!
I worked in pharma for 6 years and hated every minute, so do not want to go back to that. My Manager is also not keen on flexible working, but to be honest, may just skive! Someone else mentioned job share, but do not think the salary would be enough divided between 2 people. Who do you work for? will they not consider part time. I know someone from Smith and Nephew, works 4 days, but she gets the rough deal, cos surgeons still ring her up on her day off, but she haslost loads of her salary and commission, so am tempted to stay part time, and just skive one day a week!

Hi Thanks Debs

I know a few pharma medical companies who do part time work, but I do not want to go back into pharma- hated it- but want to stick with medical devices. Will try agencies, and telegraph etc nearer the time. Not going back to work until January. Thanks for help anyway. Who do you work for by the way?
