How do you get into exam invigilating?

Is there a qualification you need? I guess it would help to be a teacher but I'm not - I applied for one job and they said I wasn't qualified but didnt' say what qualification you need. Any advice anyone?

Trust me you don't need to be a teacher to get into exam invigilating. Ideally you need experience with teenage children in school, a recent CRB check done by county and the ablity to with stand extreme boredom.

I am sorry that you haven't got a job. It may well be worth phoning around other secondary schools to see if they want exam invigilators.

Most people who do exam invigilating are dinner ladies who work on site of the secondary school.

Don't forget this is needed at university too. Much better rate of pay normally too
