going back to work flexible days refuse

Hi iam going back to work after maternity leave . I was working as a cleaner 21 hours a week part time i would like to go back and work 3 days just as before but fixed days so i can manage caring for my little girl while my husband is at work . My employer refused ;( what can i do ?

But in response to your post. Legally you can request flexible working but your employer doesn't have to agree to it. Sorry...

Have they given you/got a business case for refusing your proposal?

Did your application demonstrate that their business needs would be unaffected by your proposal/ or suggest how it could be dealt with?

Someone who knows the details of how the process is supposed to be handled will be along, but I know, sadly that agreeing to flexible working is not a foregone conclusion.
