Going back to work... 4 kids 5 and under

Has anyone achieved this without starting their own business... My DH works at least 60 hours a week so I don't really have his help. I haven't worked in 5 years. I've been offered a FT job 40hrs a week from a friend - if I want it. Not fantastic money. Financially I don't need to go back to work right now.

Is it really worth the logistical and childcare nightmare?

I know I would enjoy the job and give it my all so that's not the issue here.

I'm just looking for advice from anyone who has done it.

Thanks.

I think it would depend how much your childcare costs are going to be and how much help you would get. I imagine you might end up worse off financially. I managed to go back to work part time with 4 kids under 6 but I worked around my husband's working hours so payed minimal childcare otherwise it would not have been financially worthwhile. I cannot imagine ever being able to do it fulltime unless you have a lot of help from family.
