...but what DO you do about maternity pay if you are self employed?
Wasn't for first child, hoping to have another soon (foolish ovaries willing,) and wondered what I need to do to get anything I am entitled to? Will shortly have a year's accounts but they aren't blistering as some income has been through personal property development so not through the company. Or is it simpler than that?

Thanks - how do I prove earnings if self employed? Currently all profits are going straight back into growing the company.. Also presumably I need to pay NI, can I pay a wedge to get up to date?

If you are self employed, your earnings are your taxable profits
