I have 2 small dcs and am in need of a career change. I am in the middle of purchasing a couple of buy to let properties and have worked in property management some years back. I am seriously considering looking into starting up a property management/search service.

I do not have money for overheads so my plan was working from home. Do you think this is a feasible idea. How would I go about finding clients (or thwm finding me?!). The previous agency I worked for was a small top end agency who had clients through their social circle/word of mouth.

Maybe advertise on Owners Direct/Homeaway? Property owners of holiday lets might need somebody to arrange maintenance, and cleaners to come in between lets. Fresh towel and linen hire, so you bring clean white bedlinen and handtowels to each new property, and take the used back with them.
