incorrect wages - not resolved a month on

I started my mat leave in December, before this I was off work ill. One of my jobs is to process wages for the company. Because I was off ill I never had chance to do a proper handover to person taking on the task. As my wages were a little complex, due to sick leave, mat leave, al etc I completed my timesheet and broke down my pay. When I received my pay it was obvious they had paid me incorrect wages - I emailed them straight away to find out what they had done, they had even deducted money from me. I was informed they would look into it. I emailed them again at beginning of this week to ask what was happening as I had heard nothing. Was told it was being looked into and they would be in touch. It's been a month now and I am owed just over £400. Luckily we have had some moneyin reserve but I'm a tad bit pee'd off that its not yet been resolved. I feel like they are doubting my honesty and integrity. Any advice what I should do next?
Thanks

Who are you getting in touch with, the new payroll person or your manager?

I went through payroll person who has queried it with my manager. My manager responded saying she was reviewing it and would pass on all info to payroll person. Not heard from neither since.

I would continue to put pressure on your manager directly, as them hounding the payroll person will be more effective than you doing it.

Ultimately, you could consider a grievance if you think that might get them into gear quicker.

Thanks flowery. Putting in a grievance will be my next option I think. If I was given pay roll queries I would deal with as a priority so that people weren't out of pocket / stressed so a bit disappointed person taking on job hasn't done the same.
