Paying back maternity package to a local authority

Hoping you can help me

I'm changing employer half way through my maternity leave from one local authority to another. I'm keeping my continuous service in relation to annual leave etc but I was wondering where I stand regards paying back the enhanced maternity package I took from my last employer.

Will I still have to as I will still be employed by a local authority?

Also if I do need to pay it back what your experience regards the length of time you are given to do so.

Thanks

I changed local authority employers during maternity leave but did not have to pay the enhanced maternity pay back.

busywheels that's great news, did you have to argue it or was your HR department well aware?

Don't know the answer but have been wondering this as there's a job I'm interested in

No they were well aware. Infact it was probably them who told me. Was about 6 years ago and I did change jobs within the same county if that makes any difference.
