Bank holidays part time workers

Do part time workers still get bank holiday entitlement if they don't work a Monday? When I was FT I alway had a Monday off but would get the bank holiday in Lieu. Would this still apply now I'm only part time?

I am not 100% sure but my contracted days are tuesday - friday (pt) so I don't get any monday bank holidays in lieu but I'll get any other bank holidays that land on them days back like last year boxing day and new years day landed on my working days and I always work good friday so get that back.

I'm part time and I get 5.6 weeks regardless not necessarily bank holidays.

You should get a proportion of them, they're sometimes included in your holiday allowance.

I work for the NHS and get bank hols pro rata. My working days are Tues, Thurs and Fri so they give me back the bank hols, that I should have had as annual leave.

I work part-time and days of unequal length so my leave is calculated in hours. I work 0.5 and get 0.5 of the BH total for the year, converted to hours and added to my annual leave. If a BH is a day I would usually work I need to take leave. I don't work Mondays but don't forget Good Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year etc - they aren't always Mondays. Some years I'm in credit after BH are taken. sometimes I'm not, but it's all fair. I work the tail-end of the week and know I'd be 'worse off' if I worked more Mondays.

As far as I know, this depends on your job contract. You're entitled to 5.6 weeks holiday a year, but your employer can count bank holidays towards this. They don't automatically have to give you time off for bank holidays

Where I work, full time employees get 25 day annual leave plus bank holidays (so 33 days including bank holidays), and this is pro-ratared down for part-timers. So at my work, a part-timer who works half
of the hours a full time employee works will be entitled to 4 days holiday for bank holidays. If the bank holidays all fall on their non-working days, then they'd effectively get 4 extra days annual leave - but if the bank holidays all fell on their working days, they'd have to use up annual leave to cover the shortfall.

However - as I understand it - if the contract were to say that you get 5.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays, then any bank holidays falling on your working days are taken out of your annual leave - so you don't get extra days off in lieu if the bank holiday isn't on one of your normal working days.
