TA interview activity ideas please

I have an interview for a TA post in a primary school. I have to plan prepare and deliver a language based activity that promotes talk and interaction. I will have 3 lower ability reception aged children and need to demonstrate my ability to engage the children that are reluctant talkers. Any advice or activity ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks xx

Could you read a short story and do a role on the wall for the main character? To simplify for younger children you could ask for words to describe how they look and record them on the outside then how the character acts/feels on the inside.

It wold be even better if you could find out the class book or topic for literacy eg Gingerbread man if doing fairy tales etc.

Good luck!

Thanks for replying Rosieliveson like that idea, what is a "role on the wall"?
