Hi Group!!! Nice to be a part of such a fabulous forum!!

My question is:

Is there anywhere online that I can find information about how to do my yearly accounting/tax return paperwork - somewhere that explains it all in a simple way? I'm new to such things...and want to make sure I do everything properly.

Thanks in advance,

J

Hi Jemima, - I messaged this too as I realise the thread is a little old...

www.hmrc.gov.uk/CT/getting-started/intro/sample-full-stat-accs.pdf

For HMRC standard accounts. I find it easier to use accounting software (although not for the first year) and it depends on if you've got things that the company owns, or just standard income and expenses (that makes it easier)

I check on HMRC web-site again to make sure that I'm claiming for things I can (like the pitiful Working From Home allowance) and not claiming for things I can't (like buying clients a meal).

If you get stuck, you can PM me Q's - I'm generally happy to give an hour or so free advice, or longer if you're an ethical company!
