I'm expecting my first child this year and mulling over my options for return to work. I'm wondering if job sharing is realistic as an option.
I love my job and somewhat dreading the thought of being on maternity leave. My job is pretty busy but not insane (contracted for 37hrs a week but more typically 50-65 hrs a depending on workload). I work in an office managing a team of 8 and a range of different projects.
I would ideally like to return part-time, but I fear that I will end up doing everything I do now for less pay and more stress!
I wondered if a job-share might allow me to return on a genuinely part-time basis.
Has anyone done this or considered it? What are the pros and cons?
